Automatic Chapter Downloads
Keep the next unread chapters of a source title downloaded as you read.
Keep Next Unread Downloaded keeps a chosen number of unread chapters on this device. Set it separately for each source title. It uses the source shown in the chapter list, including supported server-hosted sources.
Turn It On
- Open a source title and go to its chapter list.
- Open the chapter list’s ellipsis menu.
- Select Keep Next Unread Downloaded.
- Choose 1, 3, 5, or 10 chapters.
Suwatte adds missing chapters to the download queue. Automatic downloads follow your download settings, including Wi-Fi restrictions. Wait for the downloads to finish before leaving your connection.
As You Read
Suwatte checks the download window when you change the rule, finish a chapter, or find new chapters through an update check. It adds the next unread chapters in reading order. An unfinished current chapter counts toward the chosen number.
The window starts at your current chapter, or after the furthest chapter marked read. Unread chapters before that position are treated as skipped. Chapter-provider choices and the split-chapter setting also affect which chapters enter the window.
Completed automatic downloads are removed after their chapters are read and leave the window. Manual downloads are kept. This rule can therefore free storage as you read.
Stop or Retry Downloads
Choose Off in the same menu to stop maintaining the window. Turning it off does not remove the files already downloaded.
Failed or canceled chapters are left for you to retry from the download controls. The automatic rule does not keep retrying them.
Check Offline Availability
Continue Reading marks source titles that are ready offline. The marker reflects the next reading destination, rather than every chapter in the title. Check the download status before a trip if you need more chapters.
