Library Labels
Add your own labels to source-library titles and use them as filters.
Labels let you group source-library titles without adding another collection page. For example, add a “Weekend” label to titles you want to read when you have more time. A title can have more than one label.
Create and Apply a Label
- Open Manage Entry for a title in your source library.
- Select Labels.
- Select Create Label, enter a name, and select Create.
- Tap the label to apply it to the title.
A checkmark means the title has the label. Creating a label makes it available in the list; tap it to apply it. Tap a checked label again to remove it from the title.
Apply Labels to Selected Titles
Select titles in a source-library view and choose Edit Labels from the selection actions.
- A checkmark means all selected titles have the label.
- A minus sign means only some selected titles have it.
- An unmarked label is absent from all selected titles.
Tap a label with a minus sign to apply it to every selected title. Tap a checked label to remove it from every selected title.
Filter by Labels
Open the library’s filter control and select Labels. Include a label to show titles that have it. Exclude a label to hide titles that have it. When you include several labels, a title can match any of them.
These labels belong to your source library. Local-provider tags and genres are separate metadata.
Rename or Delete a Label
Touch and hold a label in the Labels screen and select Rename or Delete. Deleting a label removes it from every title that has it. The titles remain in your library.
